Protect All Animals

Ending Dog Meat Markets

South Korea has banned dog meat markets, which will be phased out by 2027. Our Canadian care and rehabilitation centre team played a critical role in these efforts, providing much needed care and support to hundreds of rescued dogs.

Friends of Humane Society International is a national registered charitable organization focused on animal protection in Canada, through education and awareness, rescue, sheltering, provision of veterinary services, our plant-based culinary program and other direct care work. We are proud to be a part of the Humane Society International family of global affiliates that together comprise one of the largest and most effective animal protection groups in the world.
